Jon Spencer Blues Explosion "RL Got Soul" Fan Art T-Shirt
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's fifth album, Now I Got Worry, had a song titled "R.L. Got Soul." Turns out this was referring to Mississippi Hill Country blues singer R.L. Burnside, based out of Holly Springs (the birthplace of some seriously good blues). Earlier that year (1996), Burnside had released the album A Ass Pocket of Whiskey, which had the JSBX as his backing band. For sure one of my top 10 favorite albums. It's insane. Also, interesting to note that Memphis' own Rufus Thomas sang on the song "Chicken Bone" in Now I Got Worry. Look up some pictures of Rufus. Love his cape + shorts + tennis shoes getup he used to wear.
About the shirt:
It's super soft. This T-Shirt's tri-blend fabric creates a vintage, fitted look. And extreme durability makes this t-shirt withstand repeated washings and still remain super comfortable.
